In Vietnam, people like to watch various competitive shows, as the Vietnamese are quite gambling people (take for example vesomienbac, which most of the locals are interested in).
People in India like to watch TV shows that have a lot of emotions and tragedies. They call them "masala", this word is translated as spices, it turns out something like "serials with pepper."
In addition to political events, Italians watch a lot of sports programs, especially about football.
