Oscar nominated Best Pictures

Oscars 2016: Which Oscar-nominated Best Picture film would you be in?

Should you be fighting a bear on a mountain, drifting into space, sniffing out stories in a newsroom or following your heart across the Atlantic ocean?

Or, are you stuck in a room with no means of escape?

Take our quiz to find out which of the films you should be in:

Rock is the only non-white Oscar host to helm the show in the past 10 years. The film academy has visibly increased its diversity outreach efforts since it was derided earlier this year for its all-white slate of acting nominees.

This year’s Best Picture nominees include The Big Short, Room and Spotlight; Leonardo DiCaprio leads the race for Best Actor, while Brie Larson looks like the most likely contender for Best Actress.

This year is a controversial one, plagued by diversity issues highlighted by the #OscarsSoWhite campaign.

#OscarsSoWhite is a Twitter hashtag created in 2015 to protest about the under-representation of non-white actors and artists at the Oscars. This year, like last year, all 20 Oscar-nominated actors are white. Since this year’s nominees were announced, everyone from Barack Obama to Michael Caine has been sharing their views on the controversy.

The eight nominated Best Picture films – The Big Short, Brooklyn, Bridge of Spies, Mad Max: Fury Road, The Martian, The Revenant, Room and Spotlight – all feature exclusively white actors their leading roles.
