And they have a number of big surprises lined up for us in honor of the Big Game…

Grab the popcorn and snatch those front row seats! If you thought the Super Bowl was just a place to watch football hunks going head-on at the stadium and big brands dishing out big bucks for 30-second ad spots, then think again!

This Super Bowl Sunday, Hollywood will be taking over our TV screens with movie trailers for some of the biggest films of the coming year. That’s right, in addition to the While only eight movies have officially confirmed their Big Game plans, the rumor mill is wild with other guesses.

If you haven’t seen him in action yet at your local theater, then you’ll get to watch Po making some moves in the 2016 Wix Super Bowl commercial. Wix and DreamWorks Animation teamed up to promote both Kung Fu Panda 3 and Wix’s easy-to-use website building platform. The Wix Super Bowl 50 ad is the centerpiece of the company’s #StartStunning campaign and it’s meant to show how important (and easy) it is for any small business to have a beautiful website.

In order to further drive home this message, the website builder also created an interactive minisite for fans to enjoy!

But don’t worry, we didn’t forget about that trailer! You can see the official Kung Fu Panda 3 movie trailer here:

  1. “Deadpool” – 20th Century Fox – (February 12)

If there’s one superhero in town who’s here to save the day, it’s Deadpool. Played by Hollywood hunk Ryan Reynolds, the comic book hero managed to secure himself a spot on advertising’s biggest stage. The movie marks the first of Fox’s two ad spots and was created to give the movie that “last push” before it hits theaters just five days after the game. Along with his role as Deadpool, Reynolds was also handed the starring roll in the first “handing out chimichangas from a food truck” at the Big Game, according to the International Business Times.

  1. “Zootopia 2” – Walt Disney Pictures – (March 4)

Looks like Disney decided to put the spotlight on Zootopia 2 for one of their ad spots. According to Yahoo, the mammal-filled city will be the next movie to hit theaters on Disney’s post-Super Bowl release schedule, and it’s “full of pop culture references.”

Catch the Zootopia 2 trailer below:

  1. “The Jungle Book” – Walt Disney Pictures – (April 15)

While Disney wouldn’t specify how many ad spots it purchased in the Super Bowl, we do know that one of them is going towards promoting the remake of an old time classic, The Jungle Book. With Iron Man director, Jon Favreu calling the shots, we’re definitely in for quite the visual experience as Mowgli departs on a journey of “self-discovery” and is guided out of the jungle by a hotheaded panther and a laid back bear.

The Super Bowl is America’s most-watched TV event so we’re sure it’ll get fans marking their calendars for the movie’s release date! Along with the official trailer, Disney also released a brief, 8-second teaser for The Jungle Book Super Bowl spot.
