Amid the flurry of new looks at Captain America: Civil War, Suicide Squad, and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, this year’s MTV Movie Awards also included a first glimpse at next year’s Kong: Skull Island.
During the MTV Movie Awards pre-show, the network aired footage from a set visit for the film, which stars newly minted best actress winner Brie Larson, as well as Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell, and John Goodman, among others.
The new film focuses on a group of people who head to an uncharted island in the hopes of finding adventure (Hiddleston stars as a former British Special Air Service officer; Larson plays a peace-first photojournalist). There, they encounter a little giant named King Kong.
