And on Feb. 28, the historic movie house, at 711 N. Franklin St., Tampa, again will host the Hollywood Awards Night Academy Awards viewing party. Guests are encouraged to dress in Hollywood glamour and will get a short limo ride, red carpet entrance with paparazzi, cash bar and refreshments.

But before this year’s Oscars are awarded you can catch up with these former Best Picture winners at Tampa Theatre’s series:
♦ Sunday — “All About Eve” (1950): Bette Davis plays Broadway star Margo Channing who is outmaneuvered by an ingenue (Ann Baxter) who also causes turmoil with her boyfriend and playwright.
♦ Jan. 17 — “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (1975): Its a battle of wills when a convict (Jack Nicholson) plays crazy to get a transfer to a mental institution and goes toe-toptoe with nurse Ratched (Louise Fletcher) who runs the ward with an iron fist.
♦ Jan. 24 — “My Fair Lady” (1964): Professor Henry Higgins (Rex Harrison) has his work cut out for him when he tries to turn a flower peddler (Audrey Hepburn) into a perfect lady.
♦ Jan. 31 — “The Artist” (2011): The relationship between a silent film star (Jean Dujardin) and a dancer (Berenice Bejo) takes a turn when talking pictures arrive.
♦ Feb. 7 — “Amadeus” (1984): The remarkably talented and hedonistic Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (Tom Hulce) finds a fierce rival in the religious and extremely jealous Antonio Salieri (F. Murray Abraham).
♦ Feb. 14 — “Shakespeare In Love” (1998): A young William Shakespeare (Joseph Fiennes), struggling with money and ideas, meets his dream woman (Gwyneth Paltrow) who inspires him to write one of his most famous plays.
♦ Feb. 7 — “Wings” (1927): In this silent classic accompanied by renowned theater organist Steven Ball, two young men, in love with the same woman (Clara Bow), become fighter pilots in World War I.
