2012 ABP — Animation Block Party

ABP 2012 opened Friday, July 27th at Rooftop Films, featuring live music followed by an outdoor screening of visually stunning shorts at Automotive High, 50 Bedford Ave. An after-party at Matchless, 557 Manhattan Ave, followed screening with free beer courtesy of Radeberger. Animation Block Party continued on Saturday, July 28th at BAMcinématek located at the Peter Sharp Building, 30 Lafayette Ave in Brooklyn.

The ABP Animation and Art Trade Show ran from 12pm-8pm. Saturday at BAM also featured Animation for Kids at noon (also at 12pm on Sunday). Program One / Animation Block Eclectic Mix (2pm & 6:50pm) with award-winning independent works. Program Two / Animation Block International Shorts (4:30pm & 9:15pm) showcased a taste of shorts of all genres and styles. ABP Saturday Night party took place at the BAMcafé, 30 Lafayette Ave from 10pm-2am.

ABP 2012 closed on Sunday, July 29th at BAM. Program Three / Animation Block Narrative Works (2pm and 6:50pm) featured exceptional student and professional films with a storytelling focus. Program Four / Animation Block Fresh Visions (4:30pm and 9:15pm) mixed global films with local animations. The Sunday night after party was at Habana Outpost.
