Oscars 2016: Where to watch online

You already know where to watch this year’s Oscar nominees (if you haven’t caught up on all of them already) — but what about the awards ceremony itself?

We’ve got you covered. The 88th annual Academy Awards, which will be held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood this Sunday, Feb. 28, will air live on ABC. The telecast begins at 7:00 p.m. ET/4:00 p.m. PT, and starts with the red carpet; the ceremony itself, hosted by Chris Rock, doesn’t begin until 5:30 p.m. local time.

If you won’t be around a TV and want to watch the Oscars online, ABC’s got options for you: You can live stream the Oscars at ABC.com or using the WATCH ABC app, though both require a television provider account.

If you don’t have a TV subscription, we recommend you go to a friend’s house — or just keep an eye on Twitter for live reactions. For an alternative viewin experience, the Academy will live stream smartphone videos on its Facebook page for the first time this year. Before, during, and after the broadcast, fans will be able to watch the uncensored video, streamed via the Facebook Live feature, as if they were there.
