This is only the second time, following last year, that ABC will live stream the Oscars, which airs Sunday on ABC at 4 p.m. PT/7 p.m. ET from Dolby Theatre.
To live stream the Academy Awards, there's a catch
You can access the live stream — of the pre-show, full ceremony and Jimmy Kimmel's post-show — at Oscar.com, ABC.com, WatchABC.com and the Watch ABC app for Android and iOS if you reside in Chicago, Fresno, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, Raleigh-Durham or San Francisco.
Live streaming is only available if you are a cable or satellite subscriber for any of these TV providers: Comcast, Cablevision, Cox Communications, Charter Communications, DISH, DirecTV, Midcontinent Communications, Verizon FiOS, Google Fiber or AT&T U-verse.
After the ceremony airs live, the broadcast will be uploaded to Watch ABC for viewers to watch on demand for only three days. It will be taken down on Feb. 25.
Where to find videos of individual moments
The musical performances, acceptance speeches, red carpet highlights and other memorable moments can be found at as embeddable videos for viewers to watch and share across social media just minutes after airing on ABC. Some, not all, of those videos will also be available on the network's Facebook page.
The performers this year are Anna Kendrick, Jack Black, Jennifer Hudson and Lady Gaga in addition to these Best Song nominees: Tegan and Sara and The Lonely Island ("Everything Is Awesome" from The Lego Movie); Common and John Legend ("Glory" from Selma); Rita Ora ("Grateful" from Beyond the Lights); Tim McGraw ("I'm Not Gonna Miss You" from Glen Campbell...I'll Be Me); and Adam Levine ("Lost Stars" from Begin Again).
Catch red carpet and backstage action online, too
Samsung's "The Oscars Backstage" live stream, available through Watch ABC with or without a TV subscription, will offer red carpet commentary and interviews, video feeds from 20 cameras, as well as ceremony analysis during TV commercial breaks.
The hosts of the backstage director's cut video feed during the red carpet and telecast are Good Morning America's Paula Faris and Fusion's Pedro Andrade. Chris Connelly of Good Morning America/ESPN will interview the celebrities as they arrive on the red carpet.
Matt McGorry from How to Get Away With Murder and Orange Is the New Black will provide commentary from the red carpet fan bleachers, while Yahoo Style's Nick Axelrod will dish out fashion analysis and ABC News' Sara Haines will contribute.
